Phil hadn't been told what Clint was planning for him, just that there were plans made and that he absolutely had to be home for them by 7pm or else.

He hadn't asked 'or else what', because he wasn't entirely sure he wanted to know. But it didn't much matter, since it gave him incentive to actually finish work for a while, something that he needed to be reminded to do now and again.
