Happy birthday, Phil

Clint was not very good at presents most of the time. He was good at trinkets or silly things he found on a mission that reminded him of someone, but he was not good at pre-meditated, thoughtful gifts. He really wanted to do Phil's birthday properly, but he always worried that he wasn't going to be able to make that happen.

This year, though, he had a great idea. If he could make it happen.

He was waiting for Bucky outside the range, figuring he could catch him alone there.

Clint gives him a wry smirk. "If I did, I wouldn't come to you, man.

"Nah, I'm...trying to put together a surprise for Phil for his birthday."

Bucky rolls his eyes, grin on his face.

"Ah and what you want Steve to jump out of a cake in the suit?" He laughs a little shaking his head a bit. "What are you planing?"

Clint shrugs. "Something like that."

This is the hard part, of course, where he has to try to put his words together in a way that doesn't make this sound skeevy.

"I was...kind of wondering if I could borrow Steve for the night..."

Bucky's eyes go a little wide at the request, but only for a moment. Then he arches a brow at Barton.

Because yeah that sounded skeevy. "So you want to borrow, my boyfriend for the night...?" He asks folding his arms across his chest. Not sure how he felt about this. "And what I'm supposed to sit at home while you and your guy, steal him away from me..." He laughs a little.

"I mean, it's not like we haven't there was that time with Howard, but that was both of us..." He wrinkles his nose a little. "I'll talk to Steve it's up to him." He says easily taking a breath to steady himself. "But I mean why not ask him first." He grins a little, "It's kind of a hot thought though... Phil's got that whole." He waves his metal fingers around. "I don't know what it is, but yeah."

"I thought I'd run it by you first to make sure you'd be okay with it before I brought it to Steve. And I mean...I guess you could be there? That might be okay."

The comment about Phil has him smiling despite the awkwardness of this whole situation. "Yeah, I...know exactly what you mean."

"More likely to get Steve that way... I mean we are kind of a package deal." He grins a little, "It's the same thing Steve's got, that much I know." He says easily feeling more relaxed as well.

"I'll talk to Steve, it's one of those things the four of us are gonna have to figure out, but that can happen with cake... there'll be cake right?" He smirks a little. "Not wearing the mask or the tights though, I wont even do that for Steve." He snorts. "We'll sometimes the mask." He winks.

"There's gonna be cake, and nobody is wearing masks. I really don't want to know."

No, really. Even if he has a thing for Phil's suits. That's completely different.

"Sooo We can plan group sex... but not talk about likes and dislikes..." He snorts. "Alright." He puts his hands up a little. "I'll talk to Steve and the two of use will get back to you. When you wanna do this... or us more accurately."

"I don't wanna get involved in your personal life any more than...is necessary. So...good, yeah. Talk to Steve, and we'll...go from there. Phil's birthday, I was thinking. It's July 8th.

"We're getting out dicks out, and there are going to be orgasms." He laughs. "That's pretty involved and pretty personal. But alright." He says walking off to find Steve and talk about things.

When Bucky comes in search of Steve, he's in the kitchen making himself a snack and he points to the bowl of trail mix as the other man walks in. "Do you want some?"

"Can I just have a bag of M&Ms?" He teases but takes a handful, and munches thoughtfully trying to think of how to bring it up.

Direct is probably the best. "So I had an interesting request for Phil's birthday from Clint... you remember that time with Howard?" He says watching Steve carefully as he pops another M&M into his mouth.

"I don't think it works that way," he chuckles lightly, taking his own bite and he playfully narrows his eyes slightly at the topic of conversation. It's not something that just idly comes up in conversation. Bucky is up to something. Or rather Bucky and Clint are up to something.

"I remember, what about it?" And what does it have to do with Phil's birthday?

He rolls his eyes, He knows Steve probably knows what he's getting at. "Clint wants a similar party for Phil's birthday." he says popping a few more bits into his mouth.

Oh he has a suspicion but it's better to hear it out loud first so they're both talking about the same thing. "He wants us... to sleep with Phil?" he asks slowly, frowning slightly.

He sits up on the counter and nods. "Well he asked to borrow you for the night..." He wrinkles his nose and laughs a little. "I told him we where a package deal with that kind of thing..." He says rubbing the back of his neck and giving Steve a sheepish look. "Also told him it's up to you, he doesn't know how Phil's going to react or what he's gonna wanna do." He shrugs a little.

"Might be fun."

Steve listens carefully to what Bucky has to say before he responds again. He definitely wouldn't have gone without Bucky. That much doesn't require much thinking on his part. He's not upset that Bucky has obviously already talked about it with Clint, just surprised.

"You're alright with that?"

"I don't know. I mean I wasn't thinking about it... I was just going to the range and Clint pulled me aside." He says eating more of the mix.

"We had fun with Howard... but that was Howard." He laughs a little. "I wouldn't want you to do something like that with out me, afraid they'll steal you away." He says pulling Steve into a kiss.

"But it could be fun." He smirks a little. "Just wouldn't want anyone feeling left out, ya know? What do you think?"

"No one is stealing me away," he responds firmly. Steve loves Bucky. The End. Howard had been fun but only because they had both been there. Otherwise it would have felt weird, dirty and awful.

He tilts his head, considering Clint and Coulson in his mind and he does drift back to how fun it had been with Howard. He hadn't necessarily missed it. It had just been an experiment, nothing more.

"I don't know," he starts. "I don't think anyone would feel left out. We did pretty well with Howard." Steve chews on some trail mix thoughtfully and asks again, "Are you sure you're okay with it?"

Bucky grins a little and shrugs, "I'm okay with it only if you wanna do it, Howard was fun." He grins.

"We can always stop if it's not working..." He nods "Clint and Phil seem just as invested in each other as we are." He says thinking about.

"What do you think about just playing it by ear on Phil's birthday and seeing how it goes?"

He nods, because it's most important that his boyfriend is interested in this too and is okay with sharing Steve for awhile. He is okay sharing Bucky but yeah, he'd want to be there too. Howard had been fun. He'd never really expected to have another shot at anything like it.

"Sure," Steve agrees finally. "You're right, it probably will be fun."

"Only if you are sure." He says with a smile pulling Steve in for a slow and warm kiss.

"You can boss me around." He laughs a little nipping at Steve's lower lip. "Wonder what they are gonna ask for..."

"I'm sure," he replies, returning the kiss. "Howard was fun and I like Phil and Clint." Steve grins a little. Hopefully Phil won't be too nervous. He knows how he'd been about the cards. He likes to think they've moved on from that but at the same time he understands.

"No idea," he laughs too. "You didn't ask for specifics?"

"No, probably should have asked for some I guess, but it's a conversation I'd rather have with you around." He grins a little. "Like I said to Clint we're a package deal... always have been, always will be."

"Still surprised you didn't push for something," he laughs, but it's more than okay that he had waited on Steve to discuss it fully. "When did you want to talk to Clint?"
