Comic booking it

Clint was not one to frequent comic shops. In fact, he usually stayed as far away from them as possible--not because, like the other Avengers, he was afraid he might be recognized, but because he was pretty certain he wouldn't be, and that got a little old after a while.

But Coulson had been moping because he couldn't get in to get his Captain America comics for a couple months, and Clint didn't like to see Coulson moping, so he decided to stop by and pick them up for the agent. He'd probably just drop them on his desk when Coulson wasn't around, but at least he knew it would make the man smile.

"No," Clint says simply, making sure the dishes get put away properly.

"I'm sorry..." Blaine says as he focuses on finishing up.

Clint nods and moves to finish as well. "It was a long time ago."

"How old were you?"

[from_a_distance]

"About your age."

[mediumdrip]

"I'm sorry."

[from_a_distance]

Clint almost brushes it off like he usually does, but then he changes his mind, and just says, "Thanks, kiddo."

After a moment, "What should we do today?"

He smiles.

"Well...what do you want to do?"

[mediumdrip]

"I don't know..." Blaine says with a shrug. "Something fun?"

"Okay..."

He thinks a minute. "Well, we could go to the park or the zoo or maybe Coney Island? Or just to an arcade. Or we could stay in and play video games.

"Or...we could go to a comic store..."

"What do you usually do every day?"

[from_a_distance]

"When I'm not working? I spend a lot of time int he gym or at the range. Sometimes I just hang out and watch TV."

"Can we go to the gym?"

[from_a_distance]

He laughs. "You wanna go to the gym, kiddo? We can do that."

[mediumdrip]

Blaine nods. "Yeah!" he says. "Can I lift weights? I can work on my muscles." He then bends his arm a bit, as if he actually had muscles in his thin arms.

Clint grins. "Sure! We'll set you up with something. Do you have clothes you can work out in?"

[mediumdrip]

"Um... Not really?" He frowns a bit at that fact. "What would I need?"

[from_a_distance]

"Well, sneakers, probably. And clothes you can move in and don't mind getting sweaty."

Blaine shakes his head. He doesn't have anything like that. "I can make sure to bring it next time?"

[from_a_distance]

"Or we can pick something up somewhere."

[mediumdrip]

"Yeah? That would mean shopping right?"

[from_a_distance]

He smiles. "Yeah, I guess it would."

[mediumdrip]

"Maybe we should. We can get stuff for my room?"

[from_a_distance]

"We absolutely can."
